A personal command-line tool for publishing videos to the owner's own YouTube channel.

What it does

The tool uploads finished video files from the owner's computer to the owner's own YouTube channel and fills in the metadata that was prepared alongside the video: title, description with chapters and hashtags, tags, category, language and the custom thumbnail.

Who it is for

It is a single-operator tool. It is not offered to other users, has no sign-up, no accounts and no hosted service. The only person who authorizes it is the owner of the channel it uploads to.

Permissions it asks for

• youtube.upload — to upload the video file
• youtube.force-ssl — to set the thumbnail and add the video to a playlist
• youtube.readonly — to confirm which channel is connected
