Medieval Yarns Uploader · last updated 11 September 2026
Summary
Medieval Yarns Uploader is a personal command-line tool that runs on its owner's own computer. It has no server, no database and no other users. It uploads videos to the owner's own YouTube channel and nothing else.
What data is accessed
- The owner's YouTube account, through Google's YouTube Data API, and only to upload a video, set its title, description, tags and thumbnail, optionally schedule its publication, optionally add it to a playlist, and read the channel name to confirm the correct account is connected.
- Video files and metadata that already exist on the owner's computer.
No data is collected from anyone other than the owner of the application.
What data is stored, and where
An OAuth token issued by Google is stored in a single file on the owner's own computer so the tool does not have to ask for access on every run. The token never leaves that computer. No analytics, logs or personal data are sent anywhere.
Sharing
Nothing is shared with third parties. There are no advertisers, no analytics providers and no data processors. The only network connection the tool makes is to Google's own APIs.
Google user data and limited use
Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used solely to provide the upload feature described above; it is never used for advertising, never sold, and never transferred to others.
Revoking access
Access can be withdrawn at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Deleting the stored token file on the computer has the same effect locally.
Retention and deletion
The stored token is kept until it is revoked or the file is deleted. No other data is retained.
